~ Finds ~

Hi everyone
This past weekend my friend Tracie, my grandmother and I went to the 2nd Saturdayz Fleamarket
I only purchased a few items, but I love what I found.
I found this large arched wooden piece with antique wallpaper on it.

I'm not sure what I will do with it..but I loved it as soon as I saw it.
Maybe I will make it into a memo or photo board for my home office or kitchen.
What would you do with it??
I think the tattered edges and faded florals are beautiful and give it so much charm.

Right now its just sitting next to my mantel waiting to be used.

My other purchase was this antique petite round etched mirror.
I think it's so pretty and a perfect addition to my mirror collection.
The italian florentine box was a recent Ebay find

I've been collecting vintage italian florentine pieces and love the patina on this little box

My grandmother purchased this beautiful antique religious motto for my mom.
I wish it was mine! :)

I am still loving the antique wooden shoe rack that I bought from the Funky Junk Sisters event a few weeks ago.
I have filled it with favourite vintage finds, decor books and magazines.
I LOVE Rachel Ashwell's newest book, do you have it yet? It is beautiful!

I also want to let you know that my friend Tracie from Fishtail Cottage has amazing giveaways going on all month to celebrate her blogging Anniversary! You don't want to miss out! :)

LOVE the wallpapered board! I would leave it the way it is. It looks so shabby chic propped up against your wall. Love it! You have such a great eye! I also wanted to tell you, your home is just gorgeous! The pictures with the the shoe rack...beautiful!

such a great eye; love the virtual shopping; I would put criss cross ribbons on the panel and use it as a bulletin board; the ribbon can hold your images the the like but still let you appreciate the panel...love the edges....

Oh, I love that wall paperboard! Maybe you should put it on the mantle amongst all the mirrors. Your idea for a memo board would be so pretty too :)

Oh gosh, Rachel, I absolutely LOVE that arched wallpaper piece! I would have scooped it up asap. What a gorgeous, unique find. I almost think you don't have to do anything with it. It's beautiful just leaning there on its' own.
Your home looks wonderful!

Hi Rachel!! Love all your new finds :) I think I would put the lovely wallpapered board "in" your fireplace mantle opening, and put a few pieces of birch logs in front of it for a sweet shabby look :)

That little box is such a treasure! I love them, too. But the tiny mirror is what makes it for me. So very sweet with the etching!

Rachel: I love that wallpaper board...I would prop it up behind your mirrors or I would add an antique irror to the front and use it as kind of a frame. Or if it's thin enough, add metal to the back and then using super strong magnets it could become a magnet board.

Rachel, what about putting a white iron peg in that wallpaper board and then you can hang a white twig wreath, an apron, or jewelry on it. Joe and I buy things all the time and figure out later what to do with them and he is way worse than me. I have a little vision at least. ♥O

Rachel, what beautiful vintage finds! Oh I think I would lean the wall papered piece right into the center of your mantle? Have you tried it? Gorgeous gorgeous Shabby Chic finds!

Hi Rachel,
Good evening. I would turn the panel sideways on the right side of the mantel. Next- hang an interestingly "Great Find" above it. Next-move the mirrors to the left a bit. Lastly-arrange the lamp and mercury-glass candle holders. You could also lay a few evergreens or a garland on the mantel and a few sprigs peeking out of the beautiful stockings. The shoe rack can go against the vacant wall in your charming kitchen to hold your Christmas baking and seasonal goodies. I'm thinking that your boys will say YES to treats on demand.

I'm obviously going to have to travel outside of nebraska to find the good things! That wallpaper board is stunning! I wouldn't do anything to it...just put it on my mantle or a low shabby ledge.
You really know how to mix farmhouse and shabby beautifully...your home would fit in perfectly in Rachel's book. :)

I love the wallpapered panel. I don't know what I would do with it...maybe just put it on the top shelf of your antique wood shoe rack. I love the rack, by the way. It does remind me of some of the furniture in Rachel Ashwell's collection!

I do have her new book, and I love it, especially Sharon Osbourne's home.

Happy Friday!
