~ Shabby Chic Console ~ Change ~

Hi friends
I hope you're having a great week so far.

In case you noticed a little change here..I went back to my original blog name.It fits where I've been going with my design style.I debated about it for a while and felt that it needed to change back.Thats all. :)

Also...
I want to share with you my new favourite piece...

My good friend had her talented husband make me a console very similar to the one that Rachel Ashwell sells on her site  HERE .
I am in LOVE..

He did such an amazing job.
I didn't realize what a substantial size it would be.He made it slightly taller than the dimensions of the RA piece.
His craftsmanship is amazing and he stained it to match my antique wooden shoe rack. (previous post)
I had wanted the RA piece for a long time..but I couldn't afford it.

He can create similar versions of Rachel Ashwells furniture pieces on her site. ( very affordable)
I asked if he would be willing to create custom pieces for my  friends / readers of my blog and he agreed.
(If you don't live in WA, then shipping the piece is always an option if interested)

**If you are interested in having a custom Shabby Chic piece made for yourself **

He also makes farm tables that we all love..
We are going to have him create a very large farm table to fit all our family and guests.
I will be sure to share it with you when its finished.
xo,
Rachel

I absolutely love it, and I have had my eye on that piece @ Shabby Chic for a while! You are so lucky!!! It is a dead ringer for the original. I want one to go behind our sofa in our great room which faces the kitchen. I want to use it to store cook books and mixing bowls. :D

I can understand why you are in love with this. Now I am trying to get my husband to make one, but he doesn't want to add anything to his already very long "must do" list.

Hi RAchel,

It's gorgeous! I love it - it's one of those pieces that would fit in brilliantly anywhere. Well, maybe not anywhere - but anywhere YOU put it with your gorgeous taste!

And I really like your new (well, kind of new!) name. Perfect!
