~ Changes ~

(French Bottle Carrier now available in my Etsy shop)

Hi friends
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
My family and I spent the weekend organizing and packing..
Yes that is right..PACKING!
We love our 1930s cottage but an amazing opportunity has come our way to keep our cottage as a rental property and move to a beautiful area with an amazing view of the sound  and quiet neighborhood.
BUT..the house doesn't have the charming glass doorknobs, arches, original builti ins, white picket fences, etc.
It is a 1960s style home that is need of some charm.
BUT..then again the view of the sound is AMAZING!
I will be sure to share photos soon and before and afters of our new place.

I will miss my cottage but it's time for a change and my family and I are excited about it.
Plus some family friends will be renting our cottage so I know it will be in good hands.

I will be back soon..just alot of packing still to do.
Have a great week!
xoxo

Are you moving North or South of Kent?
I am quite certain that you will transform your "mid~century with a view" into spectacular! I can just see you collecting door knobs and hardware at the Flea's and Salvage yards!

Wow! How exciting! I am glad that you are keeping the cottage and renting it out. That way, it's still yours and you can always move back in should you want to. Meanwhile, a new house to play with and a beautiful water view? Can't beat that! Have fun with this new adventure and don't forget to keep us posted! Hugs, Leena

I just came across you blog and will have to follow so I can see what you do with a 60s place after a 30s charmer. They don't build them like they used to! Our cottage is 1927.
