Remember a few posts back when I found these darling vintage teacups while out thrifting?...

I'm so glad I bought these because they make the prettiest little vases for my roses..

Now I want to find more in different colours and designs..

so lovely.....

 

So pretty.. inexpensive...and unexpected.

~ Perfectly faded ~

I just love antique books and millinery roses...

These are some photos I took this week ...

LOVE the faded colours...pale blues..greens..pinks...

Mixed antique millinery flowers with my pretty pink roses from my husband...he knows what flowers I love..

such a sweet man....

Perfectly faded and worn....

I love collecting old books...

such timeworn character and charm....

Perfection....

The more faded and tattered the better....

in my opinion....

~ 2nd Saturdayz finds ~ And giveaway for Tausha's Simply Me book!! ~

Hi friends

I went to the 2nd Saturdayz fleamarket last Saturday and found some pretty things

My favourite find is this tall chippy shabby white candelabra

(still LOVING my dreamcatchers from Tausha )

I love it in my living room and it creates such a warm glow at night...would also be perfect on my deck..so many options.

only $25 

a steal!

  

I love old italian florentine pieces.

I found this large florentine tray...it originally had red dots and since that doesnt match my colours I simply painted over the red with a lavender acrylic paint. I love how it turned out and now it matches my decor.

only $14

plus $1.50 for acrylic paint 

 

Lastly I bought lots of millinery flowers from my favourite ladies at Whimsical Whites 

Kathy and Kris are almost always at 2nd Saturdayz and they have the best stuff! 

I will show more of my milllinery flowers in future posts..they are so pretty!

If you live in or near the Seattle area you really should visit the

 2nd Saturdayz Fleamarket

I try to go every month and I am never disappointed by what I find! :)

~ Thrifting finds ~

            

Hi friends      

Today was a great thrifting day! 

I went to a thriftstore this morning called Value Village and found some shabby pretties....

 

Sometimes thrifting can be disappointing when all you see is 80's furniture / collectibles or things that are way over priced...

But luckily that was not the case today.....

 

I found antique cups for only a few dollars a piece...

an old shabby floral trivet...crown pin...the perfect bohemian style white crocheted bag..and a few other treasures....

 

All in the same colour palette...pretty soft pastels which I love.....

I only spent $21.00

A great thrifting day! 

The millinery flowers I bought from Whimsical Whites today...love them too.

Hi friends
I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend.
I received a darling package recently from Crafted By Kerstin

(my necklace with my sons silhouettes)

Inside the package was this beautiful necklace made with my two sons silhouettes.
I will treasure this piece forever.
Kerstin has an etsy shop with such timeless handmade keepsakes you can have customized.

I also ordered my sister one for her birthday and she loved it.
Here are my niece and nephew (below) posing for me so I could email their profiles to Kerstin to make the silhouettes...

This is all you have to do for your custom silhouttes..
then email the photos to Kerstin.
Really easy and makes such a personal gift.

It was so much fun to surprise their mom with the silhouette necklace of her kiddos
Aren't they cuties?!!  lol
My sister loves her necklace so much.
