Hi friends
I want to share with you a post my friend Andrea just posted on her blog for 9.11
It left me speechless
You can read her story HERE
Make sure to give someone special a hug today and let them know how much you love them
In memory of those who lost their loved ones
xo,
Rachel
THat was such a good read,
ReplyDeleteespecially as it is a personal account of the tragedy. What a great reminder to cherish each day and to show our love for the people we care about.
Thank you for posting this. People who do not live in NY or on LI and were either there, or knew scores of people there that day, do not understand the horror we felt and still fell every day.
ReplyDeleteWe lost a fireman friend (LI volunteer fireman with 5 children) who wasn't even supposed to be there but had to help. My 23 year old nephew who worked in the WTC, and was sent out for outside work that morning minutes before they were hit, was missing for 48 hours after. I relive those moments every time they show anything on TV..I still can not watch. And it is nothing compared to the ones that were in the City that day.
Thank you for posting this.
Fabulous story - thank you so much for sharing this.....i plan to print this out & save it for my childeren in a 911 time magazine keepsake that i have for each one. Hearing a story first hand like this truly gave me goose bumps - such a horrific time for so many, but sharing her story keeps us close to the truth of that day. i plan to share on my fb pages as well! hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet Rachel; it's a very tough day for all of us, and I share your thoughts~ let's give someone special a hug today and move on in our lives with love~ xxoo A
ReplyDeleteTruly personal account of that day for her. Thank you for pointing us to her blog.

WOW! Thank you!
ReplyDeletem ^..^
I am so glad you all were able to read Andreas personal account of that day. xo Rachel
ReplyDeleteWhat a heart wrenching account.
ReplyDeleteLiving here and WV it was hard to understand what had happened. When another teacher came into my classroom with the news it seemed impossible. Later that day, sitting in my backyard, everything seemed the same as before. The flowers were still beautiful, the hummingbirds were busy at the feeder Yet things would really never be quite the same again. Let us never forget.
rachel, thank you for remembering and for sharing the link to the other post. we are all still more wounded than we think.
ReplyDeletehugs,
shelley
