~ Happy Easter ~

I'm preparing my table for our Easter dinner

I clipped some flowers from my yard

And then just put them in simple mason jars

The  antique silverware is a family heirloom passed down to me

The white scalloped plates and serving ware are my everyday dishes from TJ Maxx

I think everything is coming together nicely
Simple yet pretty
Now I just need to set the table with napkins etc and put some more flowers in old jars
I will also be adding some tea light candles for a soft glow

My sons made these adorable Easter cupcakes today

They are delicious ;)

I hope you have a beautiful day
xo,
Rachel

An Easter Prayer

by Helen Steiner Rice
God, give us eyes to see
the beauty of the Spring,
And to behold Your majesty
in every living thing -

And may we see in lacy leaves
and every budding flower
The Hand that rules the universe
with gentleness and power -

And may this Easter grandeur
that Spring lavishly imparts
Awaken faded flowers of faith
lying dormant in our hearts,

And give us ears to hear, dear God,
the Springtime song of birds
With messages more meaningful
than man's often empty words

Telling harried human beings
who are lost in dark despair -
'Be like us and do not worry
for God has you in His care'.

I love your new table, Rachel! It's fabulous! I think your husband needs to get on the blog & do a post on how he constructed that. I'd like to try & build one. Your white tiered stand is beautiful; I would really love to have something like that. Take care!
