Beauty surrounds us...

Hi friends
As I was looking at my faded, wilting and drooping roses today I was amazed by their beauty...

Some may find the wilted and faded petals to be something to toss out...but I see something beautiful.
I hope you enjoy these photos I took this morning....

I love that you see the beauty in so much; it's very inspiring. And I like your sweet little whatnots made from the roses. Fun post Rachel!

Roses are lovely anytime... fresh or wilted!

I like taking the petals and making dried potpourri. I like to put the dried petals into an old antique creamy white dish. :)

How could anyone not see the beauty in those beautiful petals, Rachel? :) Kind of like us, aren't they? Whether we're faded, wilted, saggy, or tired...God sees us as his beautiful children - made in his image.

Sending love and hugs to Tausha, too. I miss her and her beautiful posts.... ♥

Your faded roses look beautiful and I love how you arranged them.
I've been on vacation and saw Tausha's last post last night, WHAT HAPPENED???? I love her beautiful posts, I can't imagine anyone saying something mean to such a beautiful person, inside and out. I wanted to email you yesterday because I know you two are close. I am missing her gorgeous photos already!!

Rachel,
Your images are so pretty. They would make pretty postcards or blank greeting cards.

What beauty lies within the petals of your faded roses. Your images are so inspiring, and so are your sweet friend Tausha's. I've only just discovered both your blogs; now I can't see Tausha's anymore! Is there any way I could be permitted to see her lovely uplifting photos? I cannot seem to find a way to contact her directly anywhere. :( Keep those gorgeous images coming...love love LOVE them! xo Amelie

well, despite all those other opinions I agree with you. These petals and spent rose buds are stunningly beautiful. I guess some people just don't see the beauty the way we do!

Hi Rachel!
I love these! especially the cross, it's beautiful. I have jars of old rose petals and they make me so happy to have all over the house.

Hope you enjoying your new home!

Hi Rachel~

So creative, touching, and so BEAUTIFUL! Love what you made for Tausha. Is it really true she decided to end her blog? I tried to visit her blog, but was denied access. I've tried reaching out to her, I hope she knows I'm only trying to show my support anyway I can. Perhaps all this is been more devastating than we all realize. Anyway, she continues to be in my thoughts and prayers. I'm so glad she has you as her friend.

Hugs~ Stephanie

Dear Rachel, I have been following your blog, as well as Tausha's & others for this past year or so. I have been so inspired & encouraged by your blogs, that you have rekindled in me, my creativity and love for all things shabby & vintage. There are people in this world who are generous, kind, considerate, & loving. Who will share their words, projects, designs, photos and their lives to all who are interested. They touch the lives of others in a positive way, just because of who they are. Sad to say, there are people in this world who are unhappy, mean spririted and who will say or do hurtful things to tear down or discourage others. I'm not sure what comments were made or what has happened, but I just wanted to let you know that there are many others, besides me, who appreciate the beauty in all things, that you share and are so very grateful for your generousity. Thank you for opening your homes & your lives to us all! Love & Prayers, Renee
